Happy New Year! Happy Beginnings!
2017 is marked as a year of beginnings (numerology speaking 2+0+1+7=10=1), so it was worthwhile to take some time on New Year’s Eve and reflect on what I was ready to release/complete from 2016 (habits, thoughts) and write down what I wanted this next year to bring forward.
It’s not about hard and fast rules, goals to be reached or black and white thinking but important to take time to reflect and take stock. We are all on a journey called life, and this journey has many twists and turns. Moving into more of what I desire in my life is my vision of how to be a better me. That’s what’s important as far as I can tell. When I’m a better me, I am happier and able to feel joy every day. The best thing would be to bring joy to others.
The last few days, we’ve enjoyed a few more visits with friends and fun family time (check out Escape Room – so much fun!) and a kick-back schedule.
Today starts my refocus on clean eating. Here’s what I’m clearing out: sugar, wheat and refined products, dairy – even goat cheese for a while. Here’s what I’m adding in: more green drinks and smoothies, more DF protein, more alkaline water (min 3 L per day), power walking and yoga. We all get off track during the holidays, but with the right knowledge and tools, we know how to get back on track!
